OFFICE SQUAT
Work and Co. Group Project from Level 5 2021-22
This project imagined and developed a piece of “furnitecture” for new working scenarios. This was done through considering workspaces as complex environments offering unique opportunities and experiences to their users. The interiors and furniture of workspaces need to suit the needs of a growing workforce that seeks to combine work, leisure, socializing and wellness. To achieve that, the proposal took into account the changing in workspace due to the COVID 19 epidemic. The office is in decline due to working from home, therefore this project explored how modularity of the workspace could bring people out of their homes into the outdoors and empty lets, encouraging socialising with others without the need of an office let. This led to the creation of Office Squat - an office that could be taken anywhere on the back of your bike.
